The Hungry Stones by Rabindranath Tagore

This review of Rabindranath Tagore's The Hungry Stones examines a tale about a man encountering supernatural forces and tragic visions within a haunted marble palace. While the reviewer appreciates the beautiful setting and intriguing premise, they found that the Victorian translation and excessive physical descriptions hindered their emotional connection to the story. Ultimately, the reviewer felt the narrative failed to deliver a truly haunting experience, leaving them feeling more confused and underwhelmed than spooked.
